When you have a home as beautiful as Crystal and RC’s, it only makes sense to use it as your wedding venue. Crystal & RC’s stunning South Jersey home overlooks Cooper River Park (yes, it has water views), has a resort-worthy pool and backyard set up, features music-focused, mid-century modern decor, and has fun, unexpected details like alien wallpaper. When they reached out to us about helping them plan their home wedding, we could not be more excited.
Crystal and RC wanted their day to be colorful, fun, and funky. When Crystal told us she was dreaming of a colorful streamer ceremony backdrop, we enlisted Cara at South Stems to make this come to fruition. And boy, did she deliver. Cara not only did the amazing floral arrangements for the ceremony backdrop (and the whole wedding - peep that stunner of a bouquet!), she also made the actual streamer installation.
The ceremony took place across the street from the couple’s home, in the park that overlooks the water. C&R mentioned that their pipe dream was to get a New Orleans-style second line brass band march to walk the guests over from the ceremony back to their house for the reception. Brooke worked her connections in the wedding music industry and made it happen. The guests were led from the ceremony to the party with a full horn ensemble, featuring a trombone, trumpet, and more.
Once guests arrived back at the house, KZ Brass Band continued playing throughout cocktail hour. Local food truck Bad Mother Shuckers catered the whole shebang, offering delicious passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and a lavish buffet for the reception. Guests utilized furniture rentals and a tent from South Jersey Party Rentals and a vintage-style photo booth from The Majestic Photobooth Co.
Crystal looked radiant in a gown with uber stylish detachable sleeves from Lovely Bride Philadelphia and bold hair and makeup by Kelsey Tome. The look was stunningly captured by Love Me Do.
