Adrienne & Mischa’s Botanical Lakeside Wedding
When we first started working with Adrienne & Mischa, their plan was to get married in Adrienne’s parents’ backyard. But on a whim, they went to go see The Lakehouse Inn and fell in love - and the rest was history. Adrienne actually worked on Lake Nockamixon growing up and she never imagined that she would one day get married with the lake as a backdrop.
A&M are two of the coolest people we have ever met, and that 1000% came across at their wedding. A&M wanted a botanical, forest-y vibe for their papery and accomplished this by featuring illustrations of wildlife (think insects, birds, etc.) in their invitation suite. Adrienne’s maid of honor happens to be an extremely talented ceramic artist, so of course we had to incorporate pieces from her. In fact, the MOH (Meg of Stover Ceramics) created a collection of custom vases that included a pattern that mimicked that of Adrienne’s gorgeous dress.
We would be remiss to talk about this wedding without mentioning the STUNNING floral artistry provided by Texture Florals. With a unique, bright but subtle palette of pinks, yellows, oranges, and creams, Nicole and her team at Texture Florals created unforgettable arrangements - from the grand ceremony arch to the iconic ground pieces at the end of the head table (more on that soon) to Adrienne’s whimsical and dreamy bouquet. Speaking of that epic head table - A&M had a vision of an extremely long head table that created a sense of togetherness for the couple and their friends on their big day. This is not something the venue typically does, but we worked with their coordinators and rental vendors to make it come to fruition. It certainly paid off, as it is one of our favorite tablescapes of all time.
And of course the highlight of the entire wedding - the taco truck. Adrienne had a dream of her favorite Philly taco truck coming to her wedding for a late night snack, but thought it was impossible because the venue was pretty far from the city. However, we reached out to the Burrito Feliz team and they were up for it! We ended the night with delicious and authentic Mexican food - something every guest dreams about.
