Fun fact #3: It was important to us and the couple to incorporate local vendors to highlight the love of the South Jersey community.

Fun fact #4: This is one of our favorite weddings of all time.

Allison & Dan had two different visions for their wedding - Allison wanted a small, intimate, cozy affair, while Dan had hopes for a larger, non-traditional dance party. While these two visions seem diametrically opposed, Sunbursts & Stardust helped Allison & Dan bring both of them to life.

A major plus side to getting married around the corner from where you live is that you can get ready in your own home. An even bigger plus side is when your house looks like Allison & Dan’s. Allison spent the morning getting her hair and makeup done surrounded by her impressive / stunning book collection and her precious dog, Samson. The couple shared their first look in their own backyard and then took portraits around their home, allowing them to create these super special memories and moments in their favorite space.

To achieve Allison’s cozy, homey dreams, we held an intimate ceremony at Bespoke Home + Life. If you know us, you know Bespoke is one of our absolute favorite venues, so we couldn’t be happier that this fit in with A&D’s vision. The ceremony took place on Bespoke’s terrace with about 30 of the couple’s closest family and friends.

To bring Dan’s nontraditional, larger, dance party vision to life, we walked around the corner to The Factory for the reception. The Factory is an old historic theater that now houses a woodworking factory and various studios. Couples can rent out the building and get married in the main factory space. We transformed the cool, blank slate of a space with the help of the insanely talented florists at Strange Vine and the lighting gurus at Ambient Event Group. The whimsical, romantic, garden-like florals and lighting in the industrial backdrop of the venue created an awesome and unique contrast. The guests were fed delicious food (think giant charcuterie boards, interactive risotto stations) from local favorite Haddon Culinary. They danced the night away to tunes spun by one of their friends, played exclusively on vinyl records.

Some more fun, personal details and facts include the vintage poodle table number holders that Allison thrifted, the fact that their photographer was Allison’s close friend and roommate in college, the custom drawing of Allison’s Loulette dress, and the doggy suit made by Allison’s own mom.
